During a root canal procedure, the nerve and pulp are removed and the inside of the tooth is cleaned and sealed. Root canal treatment is routinely performed under microscopic magnification to ensure an ideal outcome.

This treatment is usually entirely painless, and has an extremely high success rate, provided an adequate ‘cusp protecting’ restoration is completed following completion of endodontic treatment.
